Bran Kelly is a Director/Writer, a native of Dublin, Ireland who has settled for the quieter country life of Cavan. He has a background that includes traditional and digital film making, feature animation, and photography. He began his career in the Animation world with Sullivan Bluth on productions including All Dogs Go To Heaven and Thumbelina. Brian worked in L.A. With Warner Bros' on Space Jam that starred Michael Jordan and the world famous Bugs Bunny!!!. Brian worked for two of Ireland's leading Multi Media colleges facilitating students to complete their independent short films, Animations and TV Projects. He gained a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies in Social Care. He also ran multimedia workshops empowering youths and adults in local communities to have their voice heard. Most recently he has Co-Directed/Written the short drama Brakelight. He is currently busy writing screen plays including a short Sci Fi and a creepy feature about how night terrors affect one man's life and the decisions he makes. Robert Kelly On seeing the making of Aliens on TV when he was 13 he knew straight away that filmmaking was his calling. He directed his first film in the summer of that year with friends and an enthusiastic older brother who happened to own a video camera. He edited these films through a lot of trial and error, mainly by joining up two VHS decks and judging when to hit edit when there was always a delay in recording. This was the start of his film making journey. His filmmaking career consists of live action as well as an animated short film. The four Horsemen was made in 2006 through the regeneration of Ballymun programme and featured Ruth Negga and Feidlím Cannon playing fantastical characters in a post-apocalyptic world. The boy Setanta was an animated film he made as he learned the Blender 3D software and after effects. He’s been practicing his directing skills since then with films like Calibre and Bulldog girl. More recently he produced Anthony Breatnach’s stylish short films Cuts and Monterrey Express. Some work Robert has been attached to has been short listed for finance with Screen Irelands Focus shorts programme for Disobey, the filmbase short scheme is The Four Horsemen written by myself, Birdman written by Matt Roche, Music at Annahullion written by Eugene McCabe and adapted for the screen by myself and Jack of Five, a storyland proposal 2015. As a team, The Kelly brothers recently directed Brakelight. Their next filmmaking venture is to bring to cinema screens the Ravening.
