Sarah Klewes develops, produces, directs, films, and edits powerful motion pictures for all media. Originally from Germany, she has worked on projects in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and the United States. Now, she is based in Boulder, Colorado. Her most recent film, a documentary feature for the nationwide German TV network Bayerischer Rundfunk, was finished in spring 2023. THE PENPAL is partly autobiographical and successfully celebrated its premiere at the acclaimed Hofer International Film Festival in fall 2023. As a freelance editor, she edited commercial series for LinkedIn and Salesforce. She also directed, produced, and edited spec commercials for Dr. Hauschka, Armedangels, and Hofbräu. Her video reportage LET’S TALK ABOUT RACE, which she filmed, directed, and edited, was released on the leading German news website Der Spiegel. Her documentaries SON OF THE SUN and SWIM FOR GOOD screened at various festivals. An alumna of the renowed University of Television and Film Munich (HFF München), Sarah majored in documentary filmmaking and took masterclasses in commercial directing. She edits in Premiere Pro.
