Biography
Komeil Soheili is a filmmaker, writer, and lecturer. He has an M.A. degree in Cultural Studies and Media and has done professional film courses in Indonesia and South Korea. Komeil also has been a festival director, jury, and consultant at a few international film festivals in Iran, South Korea, and Italy. Komeil has directed several documentaries nominated in international film festivals like GZDOCS and Fajr and awarded prizes in festivals like Cine-Verite, Meihodo, Terres, and the Green film festival. He published several articles on platforms like Business Insider and InsideOver and made short documentaries for National Geographic, BBC, CNN, CGTN, and OZY. Komeil is also an author of two books "Media Understanding: Cinema" and "Wandering with the Law of Dynamite."
