Yoni Goldstein

Yoni Goldstein has been working in documentary and artist films since the early aughts. His cinematography work has been shown at The Cannes Film Festival, South by Southwest, and The Whitney Biennial, among others. In 2018, he was selected as an Independent Film Projects documentary fellow, and has resided at the Alice Kaplan Institute at Northwestern, the Institute for Advanced Study at the Central European University, and the Wexner Center for the Arts. That year he was also named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces” of independent cinema. Goldstein’s feature film, “A Machine to Live In” premiered at the Burning Lights Competition in the 2020 edition of Visions du Réel in Nyon, Switzerland, and had its North American premiere at the True/False Film Fest, and was selected for Torino, São Paulo, and the Montreal International Documentary Film Festival. His latest cinematography work is featured in “Demon Mineral” (2023), an award-winning documentary about the baleful legacy of uranium mining on the Navajo Nation, which premiered at DokFest Munchen (World) and Mill Valley Documentary Film Festival (USA), and won the jury award at Slamdance in 2024.
